Overview
When moving your fleet of Quest devices from Quest for Business to ArborXR, the devices must first be properly removed from Quest for Business. These quick steps below will help you accomplish this and get your devices ready for enrollment in ArborXR!
⚠️ NOTE: Upon completion of these steps, this will:
Remove the headset(s) from Quest for Business and will no longer be able to be managed through your team’s Work for Meta organization.
Factory reset the headset(s) whereby all apps and data will be removed from the Quest headset(s).
Removing Devices from Quest for Business
Log into your Work for Meta account at https://work.meta.com.
Click Devices. The platform should default to Managed Devices.
Next, select the devices that need to be removed. This can be accomplished in two ways:
Remove a single device
To the far right of the desired device, click the three horizontal dots.
Click Release Device.
Select the checkbox to confirm release, then click Release device (The Quest device will restart the next time it comes online while on Wi-Fi and will be factory reset).
Remove multiple devices
Select the checkboxes on the left of each of the desired devices you wish to remove in the Managed devices list.
In the upper right corner, click Manage devices, then click Release devices.
Select the checkbox to confirm release, then click Release devices (Each Quest device will restart the next time they come online while on Wi-Fi and will be factory reset).
