Factory Reset or Delete Devices

Steps to remove devices from ArborXR by factory resetting or deleting.

Overview

When removing devices from ArborXR you have the option to either:

  1. Factory reset: this deletes the device record from ArborXR and wipes the device, thereby removing ArborXR's client as the device owner.

  2. Delete only: this deletes the device record from ArborXR but keeps ArborXR's client installed as the device owner.


Steps to Factory Reset or Delete Devices

Option 1: Device Index Page

  1. Navigate the the Devices page.

  2. Select the device(s) you would like to delete then click the Actions button.

  3. Select Delete from the dropdown menu.

  4. Select either Factory Reset or Delete Only.

  5. Click Yes, Delete.

Option 2: Device Overview Page

  1. Navigate the the Devices page.

  2. Click on the name of the device you would like to delete.

  3. Click on the Details tab.

  4. Click Delete Device in the lower right hand corner.

  5. Select either Factory Reset or Delete Only.

  6. Click Yes, Delete.

What happens on the device if it is deleted from ArborXR but not factory reset?

Kiosk Experience

If the device's Kiosk Experience was set to ArborXR Home or ArborXR Kiosk Mode, it will revert to the device's default home environment.

Apps, videos, and files installed on the device via ArborXR will remain on the device unless they are uninstalled prior to deleting the device.
