A configuration group is a grouping of the same model of devices with shared content (including apps, files, videos, and WebXR links) and settings (such as WiFi configurations and launch method).

At the moment, configuration groups only support a single device model. For example, you cannot add both Pico Neo 3 devices and Meta Quest 3 devices to the same configuration group.

When you make changes to the apps or files within a configuration group, those changes will apply to all devices within that group. Similarly, if you modify the settings of a configuration group, such as changing the launch method, those changes will affect all devices in that group.

๐Ÿ’ก While ArborXR now allows nesting of groups for Essential and Enterprise plan customers, it's important to note that you still need to create configuration groups to configure devices, content, and settings. If your departments or company locations (represented by sub-groups in ArborXR) use multiple device models, you'll need to create separate configuration groups for each model of device. For more information about nested groups, see this article.
