NOTE: This is a step-by-step for Moodle, but should be sufficient information as generalized help for most SCORM-compatible LMSs.
SCORM is the simplest way to connect your ArborXR content to an LMS. If you're unable to follow these steps due to LMS differences, your best bet is to search “How to upload SCORM to [Your LMS Name]” on Google or consult that LMS’s documentation.

Step 1: Export SCORM Package from ArborXR

First, you’ll need to download your SCORM file from ArborXR:

  • Log in to the ArborXR Insights Web Portal.

    • Navigate to: Insights → LMS Integrations.

    • Click Connect LMS.

    • Choose your Application.

    • Select SCORM as your integration method.

    • Click Continue, and then Export to download the SCORM .zip file.

This package will now be ready to upload to your LMS.

If you already have a connection set up, simply click the three dots on the SCORM connection you want, and choose "Manage Connection" to download the SCORM package again if you need it.

Step 2: Upload SCORM to Moodle

We’ll now upload the SCORM file to your Moodle course.

  • Log in to your Moodle Admin or Instructor account.

  • Go to Site Home → My Courses and select the course where you want to add the XR activity.

  • Ensure Edit mode is turned ON (top-right corner).

  • Click Add an activity or resource in the section where you want to place the content.

  • From the Activity Chooser, select SCORM package under the “All” tab.

  • Click Add.

Step 3: Configure the SCORM Activity

Now, attach the SCORM file and apply basic settings:

  • Under General → Name, enter a title for the activity (e.g., Ground Crew Safety Training).

  • (Optional) Add a description for learners.

Upload the SCORM Package:

  • In the Package File section, click the file selector.

  • Upload the .zip SCORM package you downloaded from ArborXR.

Step 4: Set Grade and Completion Conditions

Moodle allows you to track performance or completion easily:

  • Under the Grade section:

    • Set Grading method to Highest grade (recommended).

    • Set Maximum grade (e.g., 100).

    • (Optional) Set Grade to pass, if desired.

Completion Tracking (Optional):

  • Scroll to the Completion conditions section.

  • Select "Add requirements"

    • Choose the settings you desire based off the context of your activity.

      • For example, check Receive a grade if you want the activity marked complete only after scoring.

Step 5: Save and Test

Click Save and return to course or Save and display.

  • Launch the activity to confirm:

    • The SCORM file opens correctly.

    • Tracking works (e.g., grade is recorded after completion).

    • Data reflects accurately in Moodle's gradebook and completion report.

You’ve now successfully uploaded a SCORM package into Moodle and configured it to track performance. 🎉
