Who can use this feature?
š¤ Organization Owners, Admins, Group Admins, and custom roles with the "Configure System Settings" permission can configure these settings directly on a group or ungrouped device, and can assign an existing System preset. Creating or editing a System preset is an organization-level action: Organization Owners and Admins can do this by default, and custom organization roles can be granted Create and Edit permissions for System presets under Settings ā Roles ā Configuration Presets.

Overview
PICO system settings such as the Boundary, power and sleep behavior, and hand tracking are configured in the System settings of a group or ungrouped device. By default each setting is Not Managed by ArborXR, which means ArborXR leaves the setting alone on the device; configure a setting to have ArborXR enforce it.
There are two ways to configure them:
Option 1 (recommended): with a System Configuration Preset. You define the settings once in the preset, then assign the preset to as many groups and ungrouped devices as you like. When you update the preset, the change applies immediately everywhere it's assigned.
Option 2: directly on an individual ungrouped device or device group.
Option 1: Configure with a System Preset (Recommended)
š” Why we recommend Configuration Presets. Configuring a group or ungrouped device directly means repeating the same clicks for every group and device, and repeating them again each time the setting needs to change. With a preset you configure the setting once, assign it to up to 100 groups or ungrouped devices in a single operation, and any later change to the preset applies immediately everywhere it's assigned. Over the life of a fleet this saves a significant amount of time and removes the risk of groups drifting out of sync.
Step 1: Create the preset
Navigate to Configuration Presets in the left sidebar.
Click Create Configuration Preset in the top right corner and choose System.
Enter a Name for the preset and click Create.
On the preset's page, configure the PICO settings as desired. Leave any setting you don't want ArborXR to manage at Not Managed by ArborXR; only the settings you configure in the preset are applied to devices.
Boundary. The experience Boundary is an important health and safety feature of VR headsets. Disabling the feature may increase the risk of injury or property damage. The Boundary should only be disabled for stationary experiences.
Boundary Creation. May only be set when boundary is enabled. Set how the boundary should be created. Setting to "Automatic" will create a stationary boundary around the position of the user.
Automatically Power on While Charging. Automatically power on devices while theyāre charging.
Keep Wi-Fi Connected in Sleep Mode. Keep devices connected to Wi-FiĀ® while in sleep mode.
Turn Screen Off After. Select how long the screen will remain active when inactive.
Put System to Sleep After. Select how long the system will remain on when inactive.
Eye Tracking Refresh Rate (PICO Neo 3 Pro Eye only). Configure the desired eye tracking refresh rate for PICO Neo 3 Pro Eye. Only supported on PUI 4.
Automatic IPD Adjustment (PICO 4 Enterprise only). The device will automatically detect new headset users and start the inter-pupillary distance setup.
Controller Un-Pairing Button Press Time (PICO 4 Enterprise only). Select how long the controller un-pairing button sequence must be pressed to un-pair the controller.
Hand Tracking. Enable or disable hand tracking on the device.
Mixed Interaction. May only be set when hand tracking is enabled. Allow simultaneous hand tracking and controller input on supported PICO devices.
Click Save.
Step 2: Assign the preset
Assign the preset from the Configuration Presets library. You can assign it to up to 100 groups or ungrouped devices in a single operation.
Navigate to Configuration Presets in the left sidebar.
Select the checkbox next to the System preset you want to assign.
Click Assign.
Choose either Assign to Groups or Assign to Ungrouped Devices.
Select the target groups or ungrouped devices, then click Assign.
Option 2: Configure Directly on a Group or Device
š” If your organization has Require Configuration Presets enabled, direct configuration is disabled and the System section must be configured with a preset.
Navigate to the ungrouped device or configuration group in question.
Select the Settings tab.
Select System to expand the section.
