Overview
Before enrolling your Meta Quest devices into ArborXR, you’ll first need to create a managed Meta account and have an active Meta Horizon managed services subscription. The steps below will help you get started!
Step 1: Set Up Your Managed Meta Account and Organization
Scroll down to the Get an Activation Code section, then click either Sign up as an enterprise customer or Sign up as an education customer.
Your organization must meet Meta’s qualifications for Meta for Education eligibility.
Select your country. See Meta’s supported countries here.
If your country is not one of the available countries, contact Meta’s Sales team for further assistance.
Review the information, then click Get started.
Click Continue on the “Get started with Meta for Work” screen.
Enter your organizational or institutional email address, then click Continue.
Meta will send a confirmation code to your email. Enter this code in the Verification code box and click Verify.
Enter your name, date of birth, and a password, then click Continue.
Enter your organization name, select your country, and select your current number of Meta Quest devices.
Read and select the checkbox to agree to the Meta Horizon Managed Solutions Terms of Service, then click Continue.
Step 2: Choose your subscription method
Next, you’ll need to choose a subscription method for your Horizon managed services organization. You can subscribe to Meta Horizon managed services in the following ways:
Through a preferred reseller.
Directly through Meta using a credit card.
Option 1: Subscribe Through a Reseller
💡 Subscribing through a reseller requires purchasing Meta Quest devices directly from a Meta-approved reseller. Meta provides 2 years of free access to Horizon managed services by going through a reseller. Click here for a list of Meta-supported resellers in your region. If you have already purchased Quest devices outside of the reseller channel, these devices are not eligible for Meta’s 2-year free offer for Horizon managed services. If you chose this option, cancel the code if you generated one, then click Back. Then, proceed to subscribe with Meta directly via credit card in Option 2 below.
After agreeing to the Meta Horizon Managed Solutions Terms of Service, click Continue.
Click to check the circle next to “Subscribe through a reseller”.
Read and agree to the terms, then click Generate code.
Share the code with your reseller.
After the reseller has accepted and entered your Meta Reseller Code on their end, return to the setup process.
Set up two-factor authentication, selecting your preferred method (Authenticator app, like Google Authenticator, or via text message). Follow the steps and complete the setup of two-factor authentication for your managed Meta account.
Finally, click Next.
Your Meta Horizon organization is set up, and you’re ready to begin enrolling devices into ArborXR! Click here to get started!
Option 2: Subscribe with Meta directly
💡 This license option is required for Quest devices acquired through non-Meta-approved reseller channels, such as major retail stores (big box stores) or online marketplaces. The annual published price for an HMS license covering devices purchased in this manner is $179.99 per device. If you have any questions about this, contact Meta’s Sales.
After agreeing to the Meta Horizon Managed Solutions Terms of Service, click Continue.
Click to check the circle next to “Subscribe with Meta directly”.
Add your payment information and click Submit. It is recommended to enter your business and tax info. You will need to enter this information later to maintain your subscription with Meta Horizon managed services.
Once the card is saved, click Done.
Next, click Submit.
Set up two-factor authentication, selecting your preferred method (Authenticator app, like Google Authenticator, or via text message). Follow the steps and complete the setup of two-factor authentication for your managed Meta account.
Finally, click Next.

Non-profit organizations
Are you with a non-profit organization? Once you’ve signed up for Horizon managed services, your organization can apply and may be eligible for non-profit discounts through the Meta for Work portal through TechSoup. See this Meta Help Article to get started with the process!

No. Meta’s offer for 2 free years of Horizon managed services is only available for devices purchased through a Meta-approved reseller.
