Steps to enable USB debugging on Horizon managed services devices

Individual Mode

πŸ’‘ In ArborXR, the Device Home Environment Headset Experience setting configures the device to individual mode. Learn more about shared mode and individual mode here.

  1. Navigate to system settings.

  2. In the side navigation menu on the left, scroll down to Advanced.

  3. Scroll to the very bottom and toggle on USB Debugging.

  4. Connect the Quest device to your PC via USB.

  5. Put on the headset and within VR you will see the prompt, Accept USB debugging? Select Always allow from this computer (may appear differently in-headset than shown below).

Shared Mode

In ArborXR, the ArborXR Home, ArborXR Kiosk Mode, and In-House Launcher Headset Experience settings configures the device to shared mode. Learn more about shared mode and individual mode here.

  1. Press the home button to open Meta's pause menu.

  2. From Meta's pause menu click on the Wi-Fi and battery icon in the bottom left to open a quick settings menu.
    ​


    On some devices, you might see a Settings button in the bottom right hand corner and will need to click on this instead.
    ​

  3. This menu provides access to useful settings such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Casting, and USB Debugging. Click on the USB Debugging option to toggle on.
    ​

  4. Connect the Quest device to your PC via USB.

  5. Put on the headset and within VR you will see the prompt, Accept USB debugging? Select Always allow from this computer (may appear differently in-headset than shown below).
