While setting up devices with ArborXR you may get the error, Unexpected shell command output: Error: Failed to parse APK file.

๐Ÿ’กThis means that ArborXR's .apk files corrupted during the initial download to the PC and a fresh download is required.

The solution:

  1. Close ArborXR's Device Setup App.

  2. Navigate to the following path on your PC:

    • Windows: C:\ProgramData\ArborXR\Setup\Dependencies

    • MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/app.xrdm.pairing/ArborXR/Setup/Dependencies

  3. Delete all .apk files in the Dependencies folder.

  4. Re-launch the Device Setup App. After logging in, ArborXR's .apk files will automatically begin downloading to the PC.

  5. After the download in step #4 is complete, retry installing ArborXR to devices.
